In today’s time, the sheer definition of a working employee has changed. The small business and corporate offices will not be paying for the hours of work. They will start to pay for the effective output work that has been done.
This can be partly attributed to the fact that in today’s competitive world the businesses have to face a lot of pressure from the industry and the rivals for sales, growth, better profitability, and margin growth.
None of the businesses would ever want their customers to shift to a rival company and start buying and using a product or service from them.
Staff needs to think in terms of a business mindset and wonder how they can contribute to the growth and profitability of a company through regular work. How can they bring further efficiency to the work?
This does not mean that employees would have to work more or work more strenuously… it’s a matter of thinking and working smarter by working less but producing more output.
Business owners have to ensure that the employees can think on more business terms rather than being happy just about doing the job. They have to be made to understand how their meaningful work goes into the productivity and profitability of the organization
